David Dayton, Senior Technical Advisor and Board Member

CONTINUED  Select Energy Services, Inc. (SESI, formerly HEC Inc.) and served as chairman until its acquisition by Northeast Utilities in 1990. During that period SESI grew from a start-up company to one of the country's leading energy services corporations. As Founder and Director from 1990 until his retirement in 2002, Mr. Dayton led the company's acquisition program and its development of new energy services in new markets. SESI has recommended and installed (and often financed) energy-efficiency improvements in some of the country's leading institutional, government, and commercial facilities. By 2002, SESI installations were saving over 800 tons of SOx, 260 tons of NOx, and 200,000 tons of CO2 per year, and each year these numbers continue to grow.

Mr. Dayton has spoken and published widely on energy efficiency and was on the Energy Task Force of the President’s Commission on Environmental Quality. He was President of the National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO) and is considered by many to be a leader in the evolution of the energy efficiency industry. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and his MBA degree from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
