CONTINUED In addition to leveraging for sustainable change on her own college campus, Lea has been heavily involved with youth organizing around environmental causes, having served on the student steering committee for the hugely successful Power Shift 2007, the first national youth climate summit in Washington D.C., and co-founding the Virginia Climate Action Network. She has led workshops on Youth Empowerment, Green Endowments, Power Mapping in Universities, and Leadership Development at college, state, and national conferences, and has presented sociological and environmental research at the American Sociological Association and the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education national conferences.
